Lyra Harris studied photography at California College of the Arts, graduating with a BFA in 2004. Yearly trips to Tijuana, Mexico as a teenager opened her eyes to life outside of Northern California and reinforced her desire to travel and experience the new.
In 2005, Lyra spent a year in Honduras, working for a local development organization, the Anglican Association for the Development of Honduras and photographing the people and places around her.
Currently, Lyra lives in San Francisco and works as a case manager for Tenderloin Housing Clinic.
